Shiva’s got talent
We all have something we are good at. Sometimes this is called a talent, or a skill, or an ability. What are you good at? Maybe there is something that you do which makes you shout, “Wow! That was amazing. Let me do it again.” Quite often you don’t know how great you are until you try. So, Shiva says, “Give it a go. Try something you have never done before. You never know, it might be your thing.”
Like cycling. Now Shiva knows you are probably saying, “Dogs can’t ride bikes!” and you’d be right. Whoever saw a dog cycling? Their paws aren’t made for peddling. They aren’t made for handlebars and changing gears and braking. And you’d be right. But Shiva loves bicycles. and Shiva knows she is brilliant at one thing. (Well two things really. We all know her talent for digging). Shiva can pull. Shiva can pull a bike so strongly that the rider doesn’t have to peddle or do anything except hold on tightly, grit their teeth, feel the wind in their hair and squeal with excitement.
Shiva is a snowdog. She has the ability to pull a sled across icy tundra. However, where she lives in the leafy suburbs of a big city, arctic wastes are hard to come by, so pulling her daddy on his bike is the next best thing. Sometimes you have to make do and adapt your skills in different ways and use them in new situations. What can you do today to show off your amazing talent?
